Paper round-up: Liverpool linked with Lanzini
West Ham star Manuel Lanzini is Liverpool’s first choice to replace Philippe Coutinho at Anfield, The Sun on Sunday claim.
It comes amid reports that Barcelona are planning a big-money move for Coutinho during the January transfer window.
The Sun on Sunday say Liverpool will get £115m for the Brazilian and that Lanzini could move to Merseyside in his place.
The Sun on Sunday also say Swansea want £40m for defender Alfie Mawson, who is reportedly wanted by the Hammers.
The Sunday Mirror say the Hammers are hoping to agree an exchange for Mawson, with former Swans striker Andre Ayew returning to the Welsh club as part of the deal.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are said to be favourites to sign Steven N’Zonzi from Sevilla after Everton boss Sam Allardyce suggested he is prioritising other targets.
West Ham have also been linked with N’Zonzi, who previously played under Allardyce at Blackburn.
The Daily Star Sunday reckon Arsenal are now likely to sign the midfielder because Allardyce said: “My position is still to strengthen in more appropriate areas like a front man and full-back.”

West Ham interested in Simon
West Ham are keeping tabs on Gent forward Moses Simon who could be available on the cheap in January, according to the Mirror.
The newspaper claim in their live transfer blog (31/12, 07:41), that the Hammers are among three Premier League sides monitoring the Nigeria international.
West Brom and Leicester are the other interested parties, and the Mirror claim that Simon could be available in January for around £4million, as he is out of contract at the end of the season.
The 22-year-old pace machine has played 17 times for Nigeria, and has five goals in 18 league games so far this term for Gent.
Good move for West Ham?
Simon is emerging on the radar of several top clubs, and it is clear to see why.
The diminutive winger, standing at just 5ft 6in, provides searing pace on the wing, and his trickery gets him into dangerous attacking positions.
His delivery and finishing have space for improvement, but at just 22, he has time on his side.
However, with his small frame and lack of high-level experience, Simon may find it hard to adjust to the Premier League, and may mean that signing him next month would not make much sense for the Hammers.

Likely to happen?
It looks certain that Simon will leave Gent, with so many top sides interested in his services.
However, as mentioned, he would be a risky January signing for any Premier League side, and that may mean that a summer move is more likely.
At £4million however, Simon would be a steal, and that may tempt someone to go in early for him rather than wait until he is a free agent.
It seems at this point, as per the Mirror, that West Brom are the favourites to sign the winger, and it looks as though a West Ham deal would be unlikely.
